basic mission of the project :
developing
of a tool, with which users can visit the sites which are
blocked out by Internet-Censorship of some countries or regions and users
needn't to cost their energy or time to search proxies.
motivation /brainchild:
A strong
and strict Internet-Censorship exist in some countries of our world. This control to
cyberspace has consumedly restricted spreading of information. So many people
who live in these countries have lost their rights which they can freely carry
information. To break this block of cyberspace they try to explore every avenue
to become their wanted information. At most or simplest way is using of a
proxy. But searching and trying to connect cost their many energy or time, and
there are so many people who aren't versed in computer and they even don't know
what a proxy is and how it can be used.
So we
want to develop such a simple tool, which gathers IPs, ports etc. of proxies
and set automatically configuration of browsers for users.
origin of project's name:
"limo"
means little mole for short . we suppose the strong and strict
Internet-Censorship as a "wall" or "block", but the little
mole can bore underground and get across the block. So when somebody find the
limo-file in bbs or site, he can also get across the block with help of limo .
It's why we call this tool "find the limo".
realization of concept:
At
first we need a way , which gathers the IP, ports etc. of proxies. So we think
that define a XML-File (*.limo) which gather and record these information and a
tool( find the limo) which work with it.
In
process of using this tool take place as follows :
Actor 1
: They are the volunteer who their PCs as proxies for another who need it
provide. We call them "provider". As
"provider" using the tool, they can import their IP, ports etc.
information in a existed limo-file or create a new file as the first import
their infos.
So this
limo-file is actually a list of information of all
"providers"(proxies).
Actor 2
: normal User
They open the file and click on one or more proxies of the list, then the tool
set automatically configuration of browser and try to connect with it (them)
till a succeed connecting . Now user become more freedom as before in
cyberspace.
diffusing of tool or limo-file:
How can
"providers" or users this tool or file become ? If we construct a
owner site and let "providers", "users" download it, and
then this fixed url will be blocked out in a pair day by some countries,
because such a tool aren't so welcome for government or propagandizing ministry
in these countries. Then we must continually change the url and inform it to
users and "providers". This job doesn't deserve our too much time.
So we
initiative place it in any bbs or site . Though by any possibility these data
were deleted in short time, but once somebody has downloaded it. This seed will
begin to pullulate. Day after day this list will become longer and longer. So
users have more choices and chances which have a contact with those for them at
one time as tabu-area in cyberspace. One "provider" or all providers
of this limo-file are blocked out, can't more restrict freedom of cyberspace
for many people because of a considerable amount of proxies. The censorship
can't all under control, too.
analyse of foible/ wanted support :
A actual
big problem for us is ,that imported IP of proxies must be fixed IP, because
for the many "providers" who with DSL, Modem online are, their IPs
will always be changed after every online-logging on. So these IPs haven't
almost availability. So at one time we also want to exert a technique as BT(
Bit Torrent ) , it's means when the user open the limo-file, then the tool test
in real time on line who use same tool and open the same file and list all
their IP(as proxies). This idea is at present not realized because of our
limited knowledge. So every support or advice will be welcome.

Such a project
is for us also the first time. We aren't although professional computer-
science person and only the college student, but we try our best to finish it.
Many thought about basis idea or realization by technique are juvenility even
ridiculous for you. Please don't laugh at us but help us. We
need your support and thank for this, then this tool and we will grow up
together.
